MRAP replacing the HMMV
First, being in a war zone one cannot depend on reliable internet service. Mine has been down for several weeks now and I'm it's finally up now. Eh, such is life. So in the last week, we went to bunkers only once and this was for a suicide bomber at the gate. I'm not sure I heard any explosion but they did call 'ALL MEDICS GATE such and such' but I think by then it was just a clean up job.
The HUMMVE was the vehicle that replaced the Jeep. Now the new vehicle is the MRAP. The MRAP is from South Africa (where there's a bit of familiarization with armored vehicles LOL) and the Army has ordered a buttload all destined to Iraq. The MRAP comes in many configurations and all the pics here I downloaded from the internet. It's not a good idea to go around and take pics of certain stuff on a military base in an active combat zone.
