I've not posted in a while. To those who have checked and looked for
updates, my apolgies. Frankly I live a pretty boring regimented life
here. I get up at 6 AM, I'm at work at 7 AM and I leave work at 7 PM.
I'd say that about 4-5 days a week I then go to the gym and am there
an hour and I follow up with dinner at SUbway since the DFAC is closed
by then. About 2-3 days a week, I'll skip the gym and go from work to
the DFAC to eat dinner. In either case, I'll 'surf the net' and watch
some TV (AAFES TV, so no real commercials) for an hour or so and then
go to bed. The next day, I repeat and will do so until I get an R&R
break. I get one R&R break every 6-8 months...if I'm good. I'll try
to post more soon but on pic below shows Balad. It's been building up
over the last few years and now there's a push to put sidewalks
everywhere. At first this may not seem a big ideal but when you
equate living in Iraq with mud and walking on (crushed) rock, it's a
real milestone. I'll post pics of the sidewalks tomorrow or so. On a
good note there were only 5 attacks this last week. As usual not all
impact sites were found. Such is life in Iraq.
